Privacy notice
1. Data controller
The controller of the personal data collected through hot-dog-bun.it is Innova S.r.l., publisher of the portal, with registered office in Via Caselle, 2 - 25081 Bedizzole (BS), VAT No. 04292740984 (Italy). For any question about your data you can write to info@innovawebservice.it or to the certified email address (PEC) srlinnova@legalmail.it.
2. What data we process
This notice covers the contact form and the food cost calculator.
- Contact form data: country, type of business (restaurant or venue, chain, distributor or wholesaler, retail or other), first name, last name, mobile number, email, VAT number, SDI code (optional, Italy only), company name and registered address, name and address of the outlet (for restaurants and venues), estimated volume (optional), product of interest, text of your request, any request for free samples (optional box), language of the site you write from.
- Data linked to the request: date and time, page of the site where it started, your consent choices with the exact text shown and the version of this notice.
- Technical data: to prevent automated submissions and abuse we keep an encrypted fingerprint (hash) of the IP address, not the address itself; the server records access in its technical logs, kept only as long as strictly necessary for security.
We do not collect data of minors or special categories of data: please do not include them in your message.
3. Purposes and legal bases

Fields marked with an asterisk are needed to handle the request: without them we cannot process it.
4. Who we share data with
- The supplier identified for the request. For purpose a), and for the calculator only when you request a price list (§ 7), the form data are passed to the supplier we have identified for your request, among those we work with in foodservice. The supplier receives and processes them as an independent controller to follow up on your request (contact, price list, any free samples), under its own privacy notice, which it provides at first contact; it is not the controller of the processing described on this page. The supplier's name is not shown on this page because it depends on the request: you can ask for it at any time at info@innovawebservice.it. The optional marketing consent concerns only Innova S.r.l. and is not passed on to the supplier. Requests from outside Italy and requests from chains and distributors (from any country) are not forwarded automatically: they are reviewed directly by Innova S.r.l., which gets back to you and, where appropriate, identifies the supplier under the same rules.
- Technical service providers processing data on behalf of the controller as processors (Art. 28 GDPR): hosting of the site, email delivery, technical error monitoring, a possible contact management system (CRM).
- Public authorities and bodies, where required by law.
Data are not disclosed to the public or sold. If a technical service provider processed data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer would take place only on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission or standard contractual clauses (Arts. 45-46 GDPR).
5. How long we keep data
- Request data (purpose a): for the time needed to handle the request and for 24 months after receipt, so that we can answer any follow-up and demonstrate the lawfulness of the processing; then they are deleted.
- Data for commercial contact (purpose b): until consent is withdrawn and in any case no longer than 24 months after the last contact.
- Technical IP fingerprint (purpose c): 30 days.
- The supplier identified for the request keeps the data received under its own privacy notice.
6. Your rights
You can ask Innova S.r.l. at any time, by writing to info@innovawebservice.it, for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest (Arts. 15-21 GDPR). You can withdraw the marketing consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live or work.
7. Food cost calculator (registered area)
- Data: those given at sign-up (name, business, type of business, city, country, email, optional phone, consent choices with text and version), date of last access, the calculations and ingredient prices you save (data about your business, visible only to you).
- Purposes and legal bases: providing the service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Sign-up data stay with Innova S.r.l. and are not passed on to suppliers. Only when you press «Request price list» for a bun are your name, business, type of business, city, email and phone sent to the supplier identified for that bun, who contacts you as an independent controller (Art. 6(1)(b), at your request); for users outside Italy the request is reviewed first by Innova S.r.l.. Commercial communications from Innova S.r.l. only with the optional consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Access: with your email and a password you choose; our database keeps only an encrypted fingerprint of the password (argon2id), never the password itself. To reset it we send you a personal link by email, valid for 60 minutes and usable once, of which we keep only an encrypted fingerprint. To protect the account we keep for 24 hours an encrypted fingerprint (not the address) of the IP and email of failed login attempts.
- Retention: account, calculations and prices as long as you use them and in any case no longer than 24 months after your last access; you can ask for deletion at any time from your profile («Delete account»): account, calculations and prices are deleted immediately and the editorial team is notified. Requests forwarded to the supplier follow the retention periods in point 5.
8. Cookies
The public pages of hot-dog-bun.it do not set cookies or use tracking or profiling tools, our own or third-party. Only users who sign in to the personal area «My calculator» receive a technical session cookie, necessary for the service and therefore not requiring consent: details on the cookie page. This is why there is no cookie banner.
9. Automated decisions
We do not take decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling. The supplier to whom a request is forwarded is identified on the basis of the product requested and of the needs stated in the form; the choice produces no legal effects concerning you.

Mandatory box of the form: «I have read the privacy notice of hot-dog-bun.it (version 2026-09-29.2) and I ask Innova S.r.l. to process my data in order to respond to my request and to share it with the supplier identified for the request, who will contact me as an independent data controller.»
Calculator sign-up, optional box: «Optional: I consent to receiving marketing communications and industry updates from Innova S.r.l., including by email and phone. I may withdraw my consent at any time.»
Calculator sign-up, mandatory box: «I have read the privacy notice of hot-dog-bun.it (version 2026-09-29.2) and I ask for an account to be created for the food cost calculator. My data remain with Innova S.r.l., who processes it for the service; it is shared with the supplier identified for the request only if I request the bun price list.»
